The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
